Is A Raw Food Diet Good For Your Baby Boomer Life? Part 1
Today is a brand new day in your Baby Boomer Life….
…if you are asking the question "is a raw food diet good for me" and…
…if you are open to the possibility of being an old dog who can and will learn a few new food and diet tricks. It just may be time to change from your S.A.D (standard American diet) lifestyle to RAW FOOD. The sooner the better if you are a boomer.
Now of course I am going to tell you why, because I believe it is of particular importance to those of us forty-five and over. First of all, we are food spoiled and food lazy. We eat unconsciously and we eat way too much of the wrong kinds of foods. This may not apply to "you" specifically, but if the shoe fits…….we know who we are, don't we?
Second of all, mid-life is the time to evaluate your health for yourself. Who knows you better than you do? Who knows your aches and pains, your energy level, your ability to sleep well, concentrate well, and your hair and skin condition? A raw food diet is as good as it gets for improving all of the above naturally using your body as the barometer what works and what doesn't.
The frustrating thing is that it is so easy to fall off the healthy eating wagon because eating healthy is mostly inconvenient until you have committed to being a healthier, happier, more beautiful, and extremely more energetic you! Now this is what I call an extreme makeover from the inside out starting at the cellular level of your healthier new body. I am not saying it is easy. Change will always meet with resistence.
You know, it's like anything else in life; you build a new pattern, a new history, one day at a time and suddenly you look back and you've been RAW instead of SAD for 3,4, maybe 6 months and suddenly you realize you feel like a new person. Everywhere you go people are asking you what you are doing because you look FANTASTIC and the energy and lifeforce is radiating from you. Most importantly you feel like the bionic man/woman compared to only a month or so earlier and each day gets better and better. You need less sleep and you sleep the deep sleep of a child and you awake feeling like the world is your playground.
It's like you can feel the energy vibrating in your cells and radiating out to the rest of your body. Remember how that felt when you were a kid and feeling great was all you knew? I do. And it can be yours again.
Do You Want That?
The real question boomer's is this:

Are you willing to commit to eating fresh raw fruits and vegetables and nuts and little or nothing else?

Are you willing to be inconvenienced?

Are you willing to start feeling like a young pup instead of the tired old dog?

Are you all talk and no backbone?

Is your budget more important than your health?
This my friend, is between you and you.
Here's the deal.
You will have to walk your talk and hold the vision of your dream in front of the mirror (or is it the frig?)every single day-for thiry days to start with.
You will have to go online to some of the thousands of RAW FOOD sites and learn some new food tricks. There is a very raw food savvy boomer named Robert Ross at Raw Food Life. Go. Get a raw food education. Or you can start easy. Start with a Green Smoothie Girl drink and a large bowl of organic salad and veggies every single day. Remember my post on the Vita-Mix? If you aren't used to digesting a large amount of green leafy vegetables and you think it may initially be hard on you, get yourself a Vita-Mix as soon as possible. Break the raw food down to micro size and get it in your body, your bloodstream, your colon, and your cells. Your new raw food history is built one day at a time starting today. What that translates to is the new healthier you built one day at a time.
Boomer women, how would you like glowing beautiful skin again? Boomer men, how would you like to reject sitting in front of the boob tube because you now have too much energy for that waste of time?

I contend that boomers have all the life experience tools necessary to transform themselves starting right now. Over the next year, let us transform ourselves into the largest group of healthy, beautiful, radiant, and "strong at the core" individuals ever to grace the planet earth with a dream come true manifested by taking back our health and vitality.
This is my kind of challenge. We could call it the war on disease except that we know attention animates so on the positive and intelligent side of the coin let us call it "The Boomer Health Movement." Are you ready??
